Re: W40K - Painting Campaign Blog

Slight brake for a few days as I've hit bit of a brick wall. Seams that chipping solution doesn't play well with metal. Going to be painting 2nd edition Space Marines instead.

Re: ELITES - June 2014 Competition

Made some more progress today, did intend to do the chipping today (still might) but the unit colours are on at least. Still waiting to receive my club spade shape stencil for the blue shoulder pads (haven't decided what to have on the right) Plan is to tidy the blue up, add the white chipping on th...

Re: ELITES - June 2014 Competition

Just ebay, though the mig products are harder to come by. I think the trader was gb models or British modeller. The chipping stuff is pretty decent I mean you could achieve the same with hairspray but I didn't like smell or the wait time. The filters I'm still playing with but so far I am massively ...

Re: ELITES - June 2014 Competition

Made some progress, washes done on the armour plates and I am really happy with the result. I'm going for a really battered look as if these troopers have been in the field for quite some time. The pictures don't do it justice but I used a combo of harsh dry brushing and AK/Mig washes to achieve thi...

Re: Mini review - Basius Pads

Re: Mini review - Basius Pads

They have been available for a little while now, quite a few different designs I've seen some cool ones on youtube and people have used two pads to create some cool effects. The second kickstarter is some time this year for more designs not sure when though. I'm toying with the idea of making some m...

Re: ELITES - June 2014 Competition

Depends what you use, I found detol or acetone free varnish remover broke whatever bonds and the green stuff peeled away and in some areas went abit slushy. On the other hand some of the green stuff just stayed put.

Re: W40K - Painting Campaign Blog

I totally failed, not a single thing painted to finish. I think I have a serial resin/plastic crack problem because I ended up buying more models! Anyways May is a write off, for June I am aiming small this time, 10 man scions squad and if I can fit it in, a scions command squad. https://farm3&#...
