Zoats are what I use spawn.. but I'd advise against it.
1)Rare as squats.. so expensive to buy
2)Rare as squats.. so every light fingered fiend will swipe em.
3)Still don't really look all that khorney, especially as some have guns whilst fiends do not (same for spawn but i don't play in such high and mighty tournies :P )

Here is someones (no idea who) page on zoats and fimir http://lostinthewarp.com/wordpress/2007 ... -my-fimir/

Heres some others you might have in stock that you could have a glance at
Vampire counts-Varghulf (big maybe too big)
Crypt ghouls (cheap don't really show the movment speed)
Warriors of chaos -dragon ogres. (expensive)
Tomb king scorpians (I think to expensive)
Tomb kings carrion (£7 each looks kind of crazy..I kind of dig it)
Thats before you start looking at the places that aren't gamesworkshop of course

Carrion look like flying oblitorators ;)

I may just go for riderless Juggs, that way i can play as Crushers in other lists. The fact they are rider less allows them the greater movement? how's that sound?

how about theseor these? :?:
(saw the Razordons @ WHW and they look excellent - painted red with fiery spikes they would be very 'Khorney')

hope that helps :)

i prefer these centigors - i could maybe swap the torsos for bloodletter ones?

they even have an icon and instrument too.

or how about 4 of these. I like these but not sure on scale, I think the LotR stuff is quite small.

The centigors arrived :)

But I am not feilding fiends anymore :(

I wasn't impressed, then again I was fighting orks.

But I was impressed with the Crushers with their 3+ save they soak up a few shots. and Are even better in CC.

The list has reverted back a bit. I realised I cannot take less than 5 troops of 8 'letters. Any less and I run out of troops to mass firepower. That said I need other non-troop, harder units to divert the attention of my opponent.

I've gone back to 3 SGs presently which are fairing fairly well. Some games they all die like tonight v Mech Eldar, and other times they aren't touched like my last game v orks.

But i keep looking at them Crushers. Presently running with just 3. They do cause my opponent concern and usually appear high on his prioty target list, even with the 3 SGs and B'thirster running around. So what are your thoughts on dropping an SG for 4 more, either to run as a 7 man unit, or as 2 units of 3 & 4?

Once this final decision is made I'm sticking with it and am going to crack on with getting the list match ready paint-wise... 4 weeks to go to final. :o

Btw, we got the test we wanted:
Match v Eldar: 3 WS with avengers in 2 and storm guardians in another. FDs in falcon and Prisim, guardians on foot with ML... 5 grav tanks in total. Scatter lasers on WS, troop killers... 3 flamers in storm guardians.

Mission KPs; Set-up DOW; Eldar player opts to go 2nd and puts nothing on the board during deployment.

I think if I get any match ups like this in the final I'll just shake their hand and go get a coffee and put my feet up... lol Please let there just be orks in the final ;)

Prisms are fire support they can't transport stuff.
I can't believe how much your tailoring against orks.. (I think there might be at least one eldar player there)
Yeah crushers are the roxies on a few sites if you take less than 24 they just say you need more. I like them taking unique to get the best of both killpoints and wasty wounds.
But your slow..what exactly does your list do that makes it 100% ork proof?
battle wagon lists (with 2kffs)and Nob biker troops can swarm on as reserves just as much as eldar can.

I agree with KMB-

I think the major lists will be

- Mech Eldar, Seer council eldar
- Nidzilla - balanced Nids
- Battlewagon orks, horde, nob biker squads
- Drop pod marines, horde marines
- Daemons 3SGs
- Chaos olbit, prince lash lists

and loads of Landraiders randomly about in any imperial list. These are the lists you need to be playing against and competing well against to stand a chance of doing well, if thats want you want to do?

sorry, FDs in Falcon and A Prsism...

and this list is not, by any means, ork proof, lol, far from it, i just prefer an army that runs at me rather than runs away! ;)

just to add. i think some folks will play silly &*%*5ers with smurfs.. I'd expect for a few termie heavy lists.. either the dual gate shooty (although I personally still don't see the point of it) or the shrike fleeting termies swarms. and of course LHs deathwing :D (Might see bikes raven or khan or command but I figure most folks who do that will have switched over to orks)..
of those I think the gateing termies threaten you most because you'll just never be able to grab them and stab them enough.(and if they are me, which they are not.. they'd take null zone to make sure all inv lists get wiped out) You might want to practise against some of the more template variants of it before hand just in case.
Andy 10k listed this one as what mr6 would refer to as "funneh!"
Librarian w/ terminator armour, storm shield, gate, null zone 140
Librarian w/ terminator armour, storm shield, gate, null zone 140
10 Assault Terminators 400
10 Assault Terminators 400
10 Marines w/ lascannon, plasma gun 190
10 Marines w/ lascannon, melta gun, melta bomb 190
Razorback 40

Apparently it DSes close runs and is on you very quickly,Although i agree with comment afterwards that shooty would be much more resilient. :P

I think that list is not very good, orks would have a field day with it.

It relys on a good DS roll, then they can't assult, so therefore they are either gonna get shot to hell or they are going to be charged.

They have no anti armour shootyness, or any shootyness actually. I don't see how this can be a serious list. In fact my list would think its birthday had come early :D

Back to my list; I was thinking 5 x 8 Letters was needed minimum, so the only swap possible was one of the SGs, but now I'm thinking if I swap a troop unit for B'crushers, that would be more nastyness to harass the opponent with and more shots hopefully to take them down. Anyone with any brain though would target the troops then surely? :| i'm confused now ..

Anyways, its modelling night tonight, we start by finishing the models I have as possible choices in the final list.... so 2 more bloodcrushers to make... then finish all the basing. That should do for tonight.... Pictures to follow.
