Great Vets Matt - aren't they a pain to paint though! So much detail! Worth the effort though.

Ah magnets. You have to love them really.

I finished off my GW drop pod this afternoon. I was pondering which weapon to fit it out with before I thought "duh" and magnetized it to use either.

I know I do! :D

Nice start! I didn't think to magnetize the weapon options when I made mine. Hmmmm.... 8)

Can't wait to see them painted up.

My first one is magnetised to, how did you handle the angle problem or did you just resolve that it looks better pointing some ways than others (as I did as swappable was a higher concern than true to life weapon arc movement :D)

I discovered the angle problem once I'd done the work. To say I handled it would be lying!

Next time I'd probably re-work the whole mounting point and have it central (and flat)

WolflordHavoc and I took Friday off to get some bits and pieces done. He was putting together some of his Space Wolves and then Empire bits while I built these 2 using the comander box and a single bike.

The captain is in three parts for easier painting. I'll glue him together once that's done.

Here's what he'll look like assembled.

And with the bits left over I made another sternguard with combi-melta.

I dunno, I think Matt just hatched a great idea after rummaging through his bits box. :D

Its not an open and shut case,it does have the appropriate sigil.
Power weapon and then removing the extra attack by taking a storm shield?? Take a L claw in that case (same points same number of attacks but reroll to wound)I prefer relic blade..but its a fiddle to find suitably awesome chaos models to steal their dark blades insult their families and then use it against them as it is.
