Thanks to everyone for coming along - wouldn't have been the same without any of you. I was going to post some individual thank yous (I learnt a bit more about how not to play in some of the games, and actually didn't lose every game - well, technically I did on VPs ...) but really it goes out to everyone. Nice to meet some new faces too - and AdrianG, Stunty, hopefully next time I'll have a bit more chance to chat.

I'll post photos later. Unfortunately I didn't think to get a photo on Saturday with Ruffian and his lot along with AdrianG, I'll make sure to take more group shots next time :)

Did I miss AdrianG then. I just spoke to Stunty on the phone about an order, and seems we missed each other. He's blaming me for some reason, coz he's having to buy a Chaos Daemon Codex :D (he'll have to explain...) But when was AdrianG there?

Let's have some piccies of these gentlemen ;)

Adrian was stood just by the edge of the angelwing ruffian apoc thing surveying the room.
(He looked like a well turned out one of ruffians mob :p, grey beard (+2 to knowledge) and if memory serves round glasses?)
He only seemed to be there for 2-4 hours..I had to dash off mid conversation (sorry) and then when I found out how far he'd journey'd just for that amount of time I did a rather wile e coyote gulp.
Stunty wore a bright yellow T-shirt on sat, a bright blue on the sun, made me look porky, had no beard and showed very little resemblance to a gamer.
Both stuck out like sore thumbs as looking completely normal humans who by accident walked into WHW.

(Who was the blonde dude (with blonde goaty thin) who lurked with his girlfriend watching us for 2 days, looked like an offspring of one of the GW andy’s)
(edit I didn't get one of adrian, but therese possibly ones of the others in the links I provided above)

My scores on the doors:

Friday: Vs Mr6 Eldar. The writings on the wall for this one as Mr6 rolls out his mech eldar, realises he is one falcon short but doesn't mind carrying on regardless. My daemon hunters look to my single lascannon to shoot down all his falcons and wave serpents.... I'm shot to pieces, but I do cause quite a few units to run off and the Auterach? is slain by force weapon! Also of note is my vinidacre assassin, who rolled a one for 3 turns in a row to hit. Mr6 kindly put him out of his misery for turn 4, but I decide to roll a die anyway which also come up with a 1! 2 objectives to 0 for the fiendish Mr6. Moral victory to me though as 'the shrouding' actually works once.

Saturday: The big one, the game in planning. There will be a battle report in the works, so just a few highlights: My repentia actually making it across the board, and one surviving at the end, Ruffian roping in a team of two scribes to record the event for the battle report, the tower of doom turning out to be a bit nastier than I first thought (stupidly skim reading the datasheet....) and the renegade commissar holding the centre together (leadership 10 bubble, mutter, groan, whinge...)
Saturday evening: training game for The Kid. King kindly fields a bloodthirster so The Kid can 'learn the ropes'. Si kindly destroys my troops (ouch). The Kids orks and warboss kill loads of stuff though.

Sunday: Apoc game, Si, Gav, Nige vs Myself, Spack and Baragash, 9000pts. I was a bit resistant at first, especially as our opponents had had to make points up by fielding extra daemon princes (curse them) but quite enjoyed myself after my witch hunter zealots laspistoled and kicked two great unclean ones to death and generally went on a rampage. The forces of disorder win by one objective, but only after a crippled immolator contests an objective surrounded by a horde of daemons. Kudos to Gav, Si and Nige for making a fun game despite fielding so many monstrous creatures I thought the table might collapse! I wasn't sure what was happening down the far end of the table, but I did hear a cry of anguish from King as the big bloodthrister got killed!

IIRC
1st King -Pure khorne demons- Declined to award himself a prize.(he admitted I'd b*%tch smack him if we played)
2nd Si (of kings lot) Chaos marine stuff (didn't see what)
3rd Tim -60 t5 FNPs ("kurgath is all 6s,like forgeworld, its the number of nurgle" (tim) "No thats wrong and the codex is &*%*" (me)
4th Baragash I believe ,BA 2 landraider 2 chaplins termie squad assualt squad tactical squad +assualt squad without jump packs(?)(fairly fluffy)

No idea about the rest then jumps down to me, MR6 a few other on only 1 loss 1 draw (6 battle points, but I got 90 more victory points than Mr6 so I can still show my face)

I'm still recovering from the trip on Saturday.. It's an age thing.. possibly :P
Some numbers...
Total miles travelled: 422
Total driving: 8hrs 43 minutes.
Time at WHW: 4 hrs.
It was really nice to actually meet up with you chaps.. at the 3rd(?) attempt. :D
Was dead chuffed to see some really nice armies, and yes THAT tower with it's maggots was very cool too :D

maybe, possibly, perhaps I might actually make it in February
Collector of Space Wolves, and all round awful painter!

Experience has shown me that it is never too early to begin planning an event. :D
