Warhound Titan for sale

Postby KInG » Sun Mar 30, 2014 9:21 pm

Lucius Warhound Titan for sale:

I'm going to put this on ebay, and need help/advice in doing so because I'm an ebay noob.

Should I start at 99p with free postage, should I have a starting bid, should I just do a buy now, so many options and never know whats best.

Also is there a best time to start the auction, how long should I let it run for?

arghhhhhhh - which pictures to use? :/

Pics 2, 5, 8, 9, 10 and 11 they will allow u up to 12 pics for free. I wouldn't post at 99p but u pay a hefty listing fee for listing a starting price or for a buy it now. My advice would be to wait for the next free listing day. They have them every week or so. You'll save yourself 10% or so.

Bit more advice - apologies if U already know this stuff. Here is what you lose out on using ebay - Typical example: You sell an item for £250 and charge £10 for postage. You listed at £200:
Ebay - Listing Fee: £1.30 - for listing items of £100 or more.
Ebay final value fee: £26 - Thats 10% of the final price AND the postage
Paypal Fee -£9.04 3.4% of total amount + 20p (Note ebay charges u later so u r paying the % on the full payed amount that ebay have already billed u for 10% of! yep - they get u twice.
Post fee: £10 approx - depends on weight and box size, and ur chosen method. I'd reccomend getting at least basic insurance if u r selling something expensive like this.

Final fees: £46.34
Final amont u make - £213.66

My advice would be to list it just slightly under what it costs complte from FW. Remember u have it painted well, and it's FW. Most FW stuff goes for around the RRP, some for a lot more. As it is well painted it may go for much more. If u wanna see how well warhounds do, run a search on ebay but use the 'completed listings' option and you'll see how well recent ones have been doing.

If you are setting a starting proce consider listing at about £300. If you choose a 'free listing' weekend it costs u nothing to attempt to sell at that price. You can always relist later at a lower price.

You can never tell - usually every couple weeks. They didn't have one this weekend so watch out for next weekend.

When you do list it make sure it ends at a time when most buyers will likely be at home. Aim for a weekday evening between 7pm and 10pm except Friday, or a Sunday afternoon/evening. Easiest way to do this is list it for 7 days starting at a time within these slots. This way you maximise the chances of last minute/second sniping pushing the price up - I've often found myself watching the timer ticking down and firing in a bid with 20 seconds to go. When I sold my LEGO most of the final bids were right at the end, and I'm pretty sure I'd have ended up with much lower final prices had I listed them to end at any other time.

Listing to end on a Friday morning is the absolute worst thing to do; listing on a Tuesday around 9am with a 10 day auction. Due to the weekly maintenance on a Friday morning you will stop anyone posting last minute bids.

Friday and Saturday evenings should also be avoided as a lot of potential buyers will be out at the pub.

Another route (or even just extra advertising) would be on Facebook. There are plenty of Wargaming trading groups on there.

Well AgeofStrife does have a Facebook page.

We just need some posters to put comments on the pages.

ok mate... could you do that once we find the free listing day.. I don't really wanna make an account on there unless I have to.

just priced up a new one from FW, wow are they now expensive. I'm sure I paid no more than £275 for mine all in, back in the day. Now £330 with the two weapons!!

So do we start bidding at £330 ?

Since that's the retail for an unpainted model, that would probably be a good place to start.

I'd go £320 - the tease getting it cheaper than few may encourage more bids and even if it went for only that u r getting more than u paid for it, notwithstanding the painting.
