Does "That's a relic blade" not work then? :) Besides, a relic blade is still a power weapon ;)

I was probably going to paint it different to normal anyway (although not decided how yet).

Finished the captain on bike last night. I'll varnish him this evening and then take some pictures.

I like it!
Particularly impressed with the 'pintle mounted' ultramarine symbol!

Loving the shield, can't believe you bothered with the flag (I always just snap those things to save anguish later when they snap) kudos... still don't get the power weapon :)
Barely even lurking..

Looks great. As for the flag pole, I've used mine as imperial guard swagger sticks. As KMB says, they just snap otherwise...

At the risk of seeming to be anti-ultramarines (which I'm not :D ) or anti-British (which I never would be! 8O )the shield reminds me of...

Day off today for painting. WolflordHavoc assembled skaven, a drop pod and some marines and also started painting his metal rat bell thing.

I decided to paint all the scouts I had left to do. I got a few in a trade last year and I adjusted some of the weapons they had to fit my current squads.

then I remembered I had a box of snipers in the shed
Image

then I remembered I also had telion!

all assembled now

Wow! Quick and nicely done!
Is it as easy to do as you make it look?
I seem to struggle too much with my painting.

15 models. Started about 09:45 this morning. Stopped for shopping delivery, chatting to Jon, lunch etc.

But several hours painting still so not that quick!

Still got highlights and details to go over before they are done. So a few more hours yet.
