On a happier note, with time running out, I've made some progress on my Tigers.

Now just a bit more detailing, some final weathering, a light hit of dullcote and they'll be in the competition gallery!

This was a fun one, and it helps me bolster my German forces as well.

I have FoW Wittmans Tiger but I think I will try the Plastic Soldier Company ones as I have been impressed with their Panzer IV's, SDKFZ 251/D and M4A3 late war Shermans

Are the plastic soldier tanks compatible with the fow ones?

I didn't know if they were the same scale or size.

Future non-wip or modeling competition posts may be added to the events/cat-waste-news-t6865.html thread.

Split off in the interest of keeping this thread on track.

Thanks all.

If the Tigers are anything like the Panzer IVs there will be very little to tell them apart besides the weight

The weight on the tigers is incredible.
Each one is 3.7 ounces.
I ordered some plastic soldier vehicles to try.
If I don't like the weight of them I can always weigh them down with something.

I found that the weight doesn't matter with these as they have a low center of gravity so they do not topple over, plus it means when you have large numbers of tanks you don't put your back out carrying them around :D
