That would be to dispense "Sweet Justice"!

A way to give a perp his "Just Desserts"!

With that big, white hammer...how about "Marshmallow Mallet"?

it might be the camera flash, but the highlights in the repainted minis are very harsh. I think the robot looks better in yellow because of this.

good catch angelwing!

yeah those are pretty harsh highlights, given that i darkened the big bot by going with DA green, i wanted him to have at least one feature besides his big hammer that stood out

my camera's flash is a menace to my painting, it either washes out highlights or makes them look like white on black!

will fiddle with the settings some more, see what i can do

Buy or make a light box mate.

Best investment you could give your painting. I made mine and it cost me about £20 in parts.

so, a little later than i'd planned, we have an update for the Dark Judges!

nothing major right now, just the bases have finally been settled on

trust me, there have been about 20 different ideas for each base, not including the hundreds that Cain and Timewizard were raided for :)

in fact, with the exception of the idea for Judge Fire (though the parts came from Cain), all the bases are down to them, and i cannot thank them enough

so to start, a simple size comparison between the Games Workshop Judge Death, and Mongoose Publishing's Judge Death

Image

now, Judge Death with the start of his base (detailing pending, also open to suggestions to texture the tombstone)
Image

Judge Fire, with fire accessories from Malifaux base accessories kits (Supplied by Cain)
Image
And his spirit form on a base from same set
Image

Mortis is pending GS work, but you get the general idea (and the hand has since been modified)
Image

No picture for Fear's base yet, i have a wall to build for it first!, but thanks to a suggestion by Timewizard, i'll be recreating the painting ''Scream'' on a wall behind fear, but with a judge

now this guy, was originally meant for the base of Mortis, but due to the fact i made him too tall (head and shoulders taller than the standard judges), he's now destined to be strung up on a wall!

based on a Necron Warrior (the entire thing is a necron warrior), with more than a little Greenstuff, i present... a very bad picture of... Judge Corpse!
Image

now the bases are sorted out, i'll be starting to paint them soonish, right after i build another ship =)

They're all looking good. I really like the little DREDD tombstone.

Looking forward to seeing some paint on them.

nice simple update, bases are now final

death now holds the tombstone, mortis gives us all the finger, fire is... well he's on fire, and fear can rot in hell, he was a nightmare to base! so the screaming judge is out, the skulls are in, i gave up!

painting on these will start soon, im finishing up the basilisk and completing construction of another project right now (will be shown with two others when painting starts)

little update on judge fire

he's almost done!

Image

im pretty pleased with how the flames came out (trust me, looks better in person, working on better pictures), just need to black out his body and throw on some highlights

i considered osl for him, but since theres so many sources on him and the base, i might as well have just left him like this and painted the base red

big upside, the flames on his body will REALLY stand out more once the blacks done, which im hoping will be later tonight

(here's a hint for how much the camera messed this up, the red on his body is scab red...)

final update for these dark judges, the spirit forms will follow soon

fire is simply from a different angle, and the picture is a hell of alot better than the previous one

took a little creative license with fear, alot of the pictures i have of him have him in a purple or red cloak, but blue suits him much better =) (also the zig zags on his shoulders were a nightmare since they arent entirely 100% cast properly)

but yeah, im pleased with these guys, and right now, painting 4 models in one day is an achievement for me!
