And a final 2014 update!

3 new Musketeers, now up to 6 of these beautiful Copplestone sculpts. One day I shall have the whole unit of 24 done! Then let the Witches beware!

They really are, they are the 1672 range from North Star, originally done by Mark Copplestone as Age of the Sun King.

They are clean, neat sculpts that are a joy to paint and look wonderful when finished. I have 4 more almost done.

And my first batch of 21015 Painting....

Firstly the last of my Roman Dwarfs

Image

Then 3 GW LOTR Dwarfs (it is going to be a year full of Dwarves)

Image

Then 4 near future Mercs for the Fighting on Venus

Image

Then an unhappy Witch in stocks

Image

Then 3 pikeman and a sergeant to go with the Musketeers

Image

And final figures 6 GW High Elves

Image

There are also 2 more witches and a cauldron, but I seem to have missed their picture out, something I shall correct later.

Last but not least 13 bases of GW Plastic trees painted up and done as the Jungles of Venus (some of these sprues came from people here a while back!

The Musketeers are still the best :)

Are you putting gloss varnish on your models?

It is a satin varnish, they are much less shiny in real life than the camera is making them.

I am on a roll this year!

First up the 3 Witches I missed from the last post.

Image

Then a squad of Space Marines, I finally got finished (well almost, can't find my transfers for a couple of the shoulder pads).

Image

Bonus points for anyone who can name the Chapter....

Looking good! One point, the elves are from the 4th ed fantasy boxset. I had to paint loads of them as a redshirt, for the intro games table. *shudder*

Ahhhh I always thought it was 3rd, but hey, I stand corrected. I just have hundreds of them as Woolworths (remember them) carried the boxed set and mispriced it so I got 3 of them for the same as one box retail should have cost!

Actually I find them a nice easy paint, undercoat with Hammerite matt Aluminium spray, paint details and then inkwash.
