enCore Engine Testing

I was pleasantly surprised that my 3 year old PC should be capable of running almost Ultra on the new World of Tanks Core engine, after running the Ultra test using the download from http://wotencore.net/

The results show as having custom settings as my monitor is 1680x1050 resolution so won't run the engine at full HD. I can live with that though, as it means I can get higher details and AA settings than if I was at higher resolution. My current PC is an i5 4590 with 8GB generic DDR3 and a Geforce GTX 660 2GB graphics card, running everything at stock, so I'm more than happy with the results and I won't be upgrading when the WoT version 1.0 is released.

Anyone else run the test yet?

looks okay on my ps4, haha. A gaming buddy has the ps4 pro with the hd all singing WoT on it, and he says it looks rather good.

I ran a few originally, but just swapped my primary display this past weekend. Here are my scores now.

Played the beta yesterday, send to run pretty well on my pc even on highest settings and HD. Each map starts with a low res tank model and friendly tanks not visible and then improves after 20 seconds or so, even though I have dynamic rendering turned off.

Yeah, I am pretty excited for the new HD modeled maps. The vista are so much wider it makes you feel like you have more space, even if you really don't. Will be a welcome change to the game.

After upgrading a friends PC a couple of weeks ago, and testing his graphics card in my PC, I realised Battlefront 2 was running at lowish settings on my GTX660, and the WoT beta with the new engine needed to run around medium. So this week I upgraded my PC to the same card I'd recommended and tested - an MSI Geforce 1050 Ti 4GB OC (oddly the MSI site shows this as a single fan card, but mine has 2 fans :\). On the enCore test my Ultra rating at 1680x1050 (max my monitor will run) is now 11587, so a hefty jump from the GTX600. And Battlefront 2 is running a whole lot smoother too :)

EDIT: Just been playing on the latest Common Test version and with VSync off I'm getting around 95fps to 115fps on Maximum with HD textures, so that's me sorted for a few years :)

That is a sizable increase in performance. You need to upgrade that 1990 monitor though man.

Nothing wrong with my 22" 16:10 monitor. And it was new in 2008, so isn't that old

This 1050ti is doing better than I'd hoped - I'm running Ultra graphics at approx. 90fps, so with vsync I don't drop below 60fps :D
