Not the hardest unit, but quite sneaky really. The start of Harmless so harder to target. Nearly all their triggers restore Harmless. And if not.., one of the (1) actions restores Harmless. They can also once per crew per turn can chose one random card from the enemy control hand. If I dislike the card, I can make him place it back in the deck..

With my British Armoured Car Company finished except for the Typhoons for the Battlefront Euro-Tournament in September, its time to start on my next army for the Newbury Colours and Reading Warfare Tournaments.
Both these are running MidWar Tournaments and as I like the Eastern Front was a choice between Germans and Russians.
With the latest release of the KV-1e models by Zvezda, it had to be Russians, so Mixed Tankovy Batalon from the Eastern Front Book.

You have to take 3 Combat Platoons so I've gone for Red Army (Fearless Conscripts)
T-26 Tankovy Company (10) T-26S obr 1939 @205pts
Medium Tankovy Company (10) T-34 obr 1941 @605pts
Heavy Tankovy Company (6) KV-1e @620pts

This compulsory takes up 1430pts of the total 1750pts

Razvedki Platoon - 1 Command Rifle/MG, 6 Rifle/MG Teams and 4 captureed Sd Kfz 251 halftracks @160pts

For the AoS painting competition I have taken a model I had almost finished building for my son's train set, and attempted to make it look a little more model-like. The original JPG template can be downloaded here: http://sega.jp/pc/soft/advd2001/img/pm3_01_.jpg (instructions here: http://sega.jp/pc/soft/advd2001/sp_pmt1.html ). This is a 1/144 scale model, but I needed 1/87 to match the scale of the Panzerzug train being built so scaled it up in Photoshop and rearranged the components to fit on an A4 sheet of card.

Here's the model built, with the original inkjet colouring. I've left the tracks off to make them easier to paint.

Bit more work on Pandora

So after test painting 5 Sons of Horus models and liking what I did, I jumped in and bought myself a force of Sons of Horus as my birthday present to myself.
Put the order into Forgeworld for 45 Mk III Armour, Phobos Boltguns, 10 Plasma Guns, Sons of Horus shoulder pads, 2 Apothecaries and the Loken & Abbaddon box set. As I was putting such a big order in I decided to also pick up two Spartan Tanks and the Ferrus Manus Primarch model (see these models in a later blog).

Should have enough for a 1500pts+ force, swap in 2 Plasma Guns into each 20 Man Squads and ready to use as Chaos Space Marine Force.

This weekend I started on the Tactical Space Marines, washed and cleaned up the models; started fixing them together.
